Welcome! Santiago de Okola is a traditional fishing and farming community on the shore of Lake Titicaca, about three hours from La Paz in Bolivia. Right on the edge of the lake with long, sandy beaches and spectacular views, "Okola" is an ideal place for community tourism. Local inhabitants are friendly and open their homes for to visitors and share their customs and ways of life. The stunning backdrop of Santiago de Okola is the mountain known as the Sleeping Dragon and views from the top of the Dragon are incredible. It is possible to see the Island of the Sun, the Cordillera Real and Peru from atop the Dragon's mighty head. This incredible landscape is about just a few hours from La Paz in bus and 1.5 hours from the Island of the Sun in ferry.
